It's OneMission week at Valleydale. We get the great honor of hosting missionaries from across the country and the world. Today we heard from the missionary wives and the particular issues that they face as women/wives/mothers. We had the opportunity to get their specific prayers needs and lay hands on them as we lifted them in prayer. The thing that stuck with me in particular is how normal they are. They mother and school their children, they clean and cook and have friends over. The only difference is they live in very unreached areas where others don't truly know the difference between being a cultural Christian and being a Christ-follower. My take-away - "Be aware of misplaced contentment".
